The Eating Establishments and Licensed Premises Regulations, regulate the construction and maintenance of eating establishments and other prescribed establishments. The Regulations provide for the storage and handling of food, utensils, equipment and employee sanitation.
In addition, the Regulations prohibit live birds, animals or fowl in any room where food and or liquor is stored, prepared or served, with an exception for service animals.
The enabling statute for these Regulations is the Public Health Act, RSPEI 1988, c P-30.
