R v Wright, 2014 ONCA 675 (CanLII)

This is an appeal for a sentence imposed on the appellant for being convicted of cruelty to animals under the Criminal Code. The Court found that further incarceration was required and imposed a sentence of nine months. The Court also varied the 447.1(1)(a) order to include a prohibition against “residing” with any animal or bird.
